Why do I not charge so much as other schools?
Because it is my school, or at least a family business, there is no administration, so no administrative costs. There is also no absentee owner to take money for doing nothing, which is the main reason that so many things are quite expensive here in Almaty, more costly than they should be. Such people always want to live like kings on the backs of their employees, who themselves do not live so well.
Effectively, I make the same as other English language teachers here, or I would if I took much money from the business. I am a workaholic who is happiest when busy, so my work is my joy. Mostly, income not used to cover operating expenses goes to maintaining the real boss, that oppressive ruler who governs with an iron fist, my daughter.
If you really feel that you need to pay more, you can feel free to take that savings you have from studying with me, and use it to buy films and books for the library, after all, Meloman Grand is just half a block is away from the office.
